Andrew J. Toles, Ellis, Li & McKinstry PLLC.
Andy joined his law firm in 1994. Much of his practice involves estate planning, probate and related litigation. He also maintains a general business practice, representing businesses, nonprofit organizations and venture capital firms. In 1999, Andy led the effort to start a legal aid clinic at Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. Since that time he has served on the board of trustees of the mission and currently serves as its chairman. Andy also serves on the board of the Christian Legal Society. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle and a graduate of both Wheaton College and Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
Philip R. Laube, Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S Phil is an Owner at the CPA firm of Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S. and is the Tax principal responsible for managing the overall procedures and production within the tax specialty area. Along with providing timely advice to clients regarding individual taxation issues, Phil has been applying his tax expertise and expanding his business knowledge in five key areas: the closely held family owned and managed business, the commercial fishing industry, the medical industry, manufacturing and the not-for-profit organizations. Phil started his career at KPMG Peat Marwick where he performed both audit and tax services. Prior to joining Hagen, Kurth, Perman & Co., P.S., Phil volunteered for a special accounting project for the Indonesian operation of Mission Aviation Fellowship, a non-profit organization that operates a flight program to support various mission organizations in remote areas around the world. Phil has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington and has attended classes at Golden Gate University Graduate School of Taxation. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Phil and his wife Cheryl have lived in Seattle for the last 35 years where they raised their 3 children. They are active in their church in the areas of music and Christian education.
Joseph D. Helms, Ronald Blue & Co., LLC.
Joe joined Ronald Blue and Co., a fee-only financial services firm providing financial counsel from a biblical perspective, in 1997. He is currently the Managing Director of the firm’s Seattle office. With 13 years of experience in the financial planning industry, Joe has expertise in investment management, cash flow planning, retirement planning and estate planning as well as charitable giving. He works with his clients to help them clarify and achieve their personal and financial goals. After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, Joe earned a B.A. from San Diego State and a Master’s of Education from the University of Washington. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a member of the Financial Planning Association. He also serves on the boards of the Seattle Christian Foundation and the Seattle Children’s Chorus. Joe, his wife Lisl, and their son and daughter live in Shoreline, Washington. Joe is involved in leadership at his church and is active, with his family, at the Christian school his children attend.
Jeff Johns - Vice President of Affiliate Network, NCF Jeff currently serves NCF's Local Christian Foundation affiliates and represents them at a national level. He provides vision, strategic direction and leadership to the Seattle Christian Foundation, assists in building the business plan and service model, and partners with the Relationship Manager to serve Givers locally. He is privileged to witness God moving in the hearts of people who decide to give more of their abilities and capital to help others than they ever thought possible. The rapid growth of this Christian Foundation concept excites and encourages Jeff. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Jeff and his wife, Jacqlyn, live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with their son, Jackson, and daughter, Ella. Kendra VanderMeulen, President, Seattle Christian Foundation
Kendra VanderMeulen joined the Seattle Christian Foundation in 2007 as its first President. She is a veteran of the wireless telecommunications industry, having served as the Executive Vice-President, Mobile at InfoSpace and as the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the Wireless Data Division of AT&T Wireless. She is currently an active Board Member and Advisor to a variety of companies in the wireless Internet arena, as well as being active in her church and other non-profit work. Kendra also helped found SoulFormation, a ministry which provides spiritual direction and encouragement to Christian leaders, particularly pastors and missionaries. In addition to her work with SCF, she currently serves on the boards of SoulFormation, B-Square, Inc., Inrix, Inc., and., Perlego Systems, Inc., and she chairs the missions committee at Woodinville Alliance Church. Kendra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Marietta College and a Master of Science degree in computer science from Ohio State University, where she also received the Distinguished Alumna award in 1990 from the College of Engineering. She is the recipient of the 1999 Catherine B. Cleary award as the outstanding woman leader of AT&T. Kendra has been married to William Snider for over 26 years and has two children, Rich and Bess, both students at the University of Washington.
George Duff, Senior Advisor
George Duff is Senior Advisor and former President (1968 – 1995) of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce. He serves as an Executive Coach to several ministry organizations, and is a Senior Advisor to the Christian Leadership Alliance and to Seattle Christian Foundation. George graduated from Wayne State University and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Academy of Organization Management; he also received an honorary Phd from SPU. He is a past Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and is a member of the Board of Governors of Virginia Mason Medical Center, and the Board of Directors of Aubeta Networks. George also serves on the boards of numerous civic and community organizations and is past President of the Seattle Rotary Club and is the recipient of the World Citizens Award, given by the World Affairs Council and the Regional Citizen Award of The Municipal League. George and his wife, Marilyn, live on Mercer Island.
